Supporting Local Families This Christmas: How You Can Help
As the festive season approaches, many families in our region are feeling the increasing strain of financial hardship. Over the past twelve months alone, Western Port Community Support (WPCS) has facilitated more than 7,000 provisions of emergency relief, a dramatic 250% increase since 2018/19. This year, they have also supported 349 people experiencing homelessness across the Western Port community.
For many households, Christmas can be an especially difficult time. That’s why the annual Christmas Giving Program plays such a vital role, providing 350 food and toy hampers for disadvantaged individuals and families in the Western Port region.
How You Can Make a Difference
This year, WPCS is seeking toy donations for children aged 0–13 years. To meet the need, around 700 toys are required, a goal that can only be met with the kindness and generosity of our local community.
Buxton Mornington Peninsula is proud to support this important initiative.
Our Flinders office will be accepting toy and gift voucher donations on behalf of WPCS until mid December. Every contribution, big or small, directly helps a child wake up to a brighter Christmas morning.
Why Your Support Matters
Behind every hamper is a local family doing it tough, parents trying to make ends meet, young people facing homelessness, and children who simply deserve to experience joy at Christmas.
Your generosity helps restore hope, dignity, and connection within our community.
