Dromana Drive In - New Years Eve 60 year celebration

Ring in the New Year at the Dromana Drive In with the ultimate family experience and celebrate one of Australia’s longest running drive-ins. Owned and operated by the same family since 1962 this is one New Years party you won’t want to miss.

You’ll be able to enjoy all the fun the drive in has to offer. With multiple movie options there’ll also be food, live music and a midnight firework show.

Mornington Race Day

Racegoers far and wide will love bringing in the new year with the Mornington New Years Race Day. With so much to do and see there’ll be something for the whole family to enjoy at this trackside outing.

For the younger racegoers there will be a wide range of rides and activities, including lawn games, mini golf, scrambler ride, a carousel and more.

There’ll be plenty for the adults including an outdoor bar, a variety of food trucks, a DJ plus live music set ups around the ground.

Start 2023 with fashion, food and fun on this epic day, head down to Mornington Racecourse.

Pitmaster Class

Pitmaster Martin Goffin of Red Gum BBQ is running a class on the art of slow cooking. For small groups of people who might be looking to take their BBQ game to another level or for those looking to become the next Pitmaster, this class is ideal.

Over the course of two hours you’ll learn trade secrets including types of cuts, the language of the butcher, ways to trim meat plus rubs, sauces and the rest. You’ll learn every step to making truly authentic Southern-style BBQ.

Not only will you get to feast on the food you prepared, you’ll also get to taste craft beer from a collection of Victoria's finest craft brews. When you’re done, you’ll walk away with new skills, Red Gum BBQ merchandise and a certificate of completion.

Australia Day Market - Mount Martha South Beach

There’s no day out quite like a day at the market. This January head down to the Mount Martha South Beach Market to wander and browse a spectacular array of stallholders and creatives. With over 60+ stalls you’ll be able to peruse an array of fashion, beauty, art, homewares, homemade goods, pet products and more.

There will also be a variety of local food trucks and drinks available. This market draws the whole community together for a day of shopping and fun.

Red Hot Summer Tour

Nothing says summer more than live music in a great open air venue. The Red Hot Summer Tour returns in 2023 with a stellar line-up of some of Australia’s most iconic artists. Pack your camp chair and a picnic blanket and head down to Mornington Racecourse. Headlining the show is Aussie legend Paul Kelly, alongside Bernard Fanning, Mark Seymour, Ian Moss, Troy Cassar-Daley and Missy Higgins.

This is shaping up to be one of the best tours to date, certainly one you don’t want to miss.

Peninsula Chamber Musicians

For the music lovers among us, head down to the Balnarring Civic Centre on January 2nd to have a musical experience like no other. The Peninsula Chamber Musicians will perform a beautifully varied program that has been influenced by country and place. From Dvorak’s Czech rich heritage to Piazzolla’s Argentine tango influences, this program features mezzo soprano Katrina Waters with a chamber ensemble of local Peninsula musicians.

Ocean Beach Pavilion - New Years Eve at the Pav

New Years Eve Garden Party at Boneo Discovery Park

Pack a picnic, grab your kids and head down to the New Years Eve Garden Party at Boneo Discovery Park. Your ticket will include park entry, DINO In Sand experience, all entertainment, craft tent, workshops and jumping castle. If you feel like doing it all, you can add rides, mini golf and the ropes course to your ticket on the night. Although food will be available at the event it is still recommended that you pack a nice picnic. Alcohol can be purchased from the park’s onsite bar. The evening will be filled with magic as a roaming magician walks around filling the evening with joy and laughter.

The Conti New Years with Conrad Sewell

There’s no place like The Conti and you certainly won’t want to miss their inaugural New Year’s Eve Party. The theme? Gatsby!

The Conti will be transformed into a stunning 1920’s pleasure palace. Champagne will be flowing in abundance, everywhere you look will be entertainment and the entire venue will be alive the the spirit of the roaring 20s!

St John’s Flinders Fete and Pet Show

The St Johns Fete and Pet Show is back in 2023! You’ll be able to wander the fete in hunt of all your favourite things! Books, cakes and bikkies, coffee cart, jams and jellies, crafts, plants, famous egg and bacon rolls, the kids bottle stall and a whole array of treasures waiting to be discovered. There will be art on display along with classic cars and the Church will be open for you to see David Wright’s wonderful windows. Bring your pets along, and maybe enter them into the traditional Pet Show! Fun is guaranteed, so mark your calendars!
