With over four decades of experience in the real estate industry, Richard Cookesley brings a wealth of knowledge, insight and professionalism to his role at Buxton Mornington Peninsula. Richard began his career in 1980 after studying a Diploma of Valuations and quickly established himself as a talented negotiator and accomplished auctioneer. His early success led to his appointment as Director of City Sales, the youngest Director in the company’s history.
Throughout his career, Richard has held roles across residential and project sales and operated as a Principal and business owner. His strengths lie in his personable nature, strong listing ability, and deep understanding of market dynamics; qualities that have earned him the trust of clients and colleagues alike.
Now based out of our Mount Eliza office, Richard enjoys the opportunity to work across the Peninsula, an area he knows well and has called home for over 25 years. He lives on acreage in Main Ridge and loves the unique mix of rural charm and coastal living the region offers.
Outside of work, Richard enjoys playing golf at The National, walking his dogs along the beach, and following AFL. A former VFL and amateur footballer, he brings the same discipline and dedication to real estate that he once showed on the field.
